Dear Neighbors and Friends of Ward Five,
My name is JC Naquin, and I am asking for your vote to serve as your next Justice of the Peace.
About the Justice of the Peace Court
The Justice of the Peace is often called ‘the people’s court.’
It’s the place where neighbors may come to resolve disputes and seek solutions to everyday problems, without the expense of attorneys and district court costs. The Justice of the Peace is a part-time judge who handles civil matters up to $5,000, evictions, misdemeanor complaints, peace bonds, and can notarize documents. It requires a judge who is fair, patient, and, above all, an objective and logical problem-solver.
If you want to know more about the Justice of the Peace Court, I made this website that goes into more detail → here.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
My Background
10+ Years - Study of the Justice Courts
Comprehensive understanding of Civil and Criminal Procedure, the authorities and limitations.
25 Years - Controls Engineering & Industrial Automation
Analyzing complex systems, finding facts, and applying precise rules for safe outcomes.
Why Engineering Experience Matters
Engineering has taught me that every system must have clear inputs, defined processes, and predictable outputs. The justice system is no different. My technical background ensures I approach each case with systematic thinking, thorough analysis, and consistent application of the law — exactly what citizens deserve from their Justice of the Peace.
In my work, there is no room for personal bias or opinion. The Laws of Physics cannot be broken.
A problem must be solved by impartially following the facts and the established logic — wherever they lead. That is the exact same skill set a Justice of the Peace needs.
Mastering the Mechanics
The Justice of the Peace court is a unique part of our justice system, created to be fast, fair, and accessible. My fascination with this office began over ten years ago and has since grown into a deep area of focus. I have concentrated on understanding its exact mechanics — its procedures and its boundaries — which has given me the detailed, practical knowledge that is the most important qualification for the job.

My Approach to Justice
My Commitment to You
- Listen patiently to both sides of every issue

- Apply the law as written — not as wished
- Make fair, consistent decisions based solely on facts and law
A judge must listen carefully to both sides of an issue, separate emotion from fact, and apply the rules of the law as they are written — not as they wish they were written. My entire career has been dedicated to this kind of detailed, impartial, and logical analysis.
My Vision for the Court
The Justice of the Peace court should be a place where ordinary citizens feel comfortable seeking resolution. I believe in maintaining a court that operates with the highest standards of professionalism while remaining approachable to all members of our community.
Justice delayed is justice denied. I am committed to managing the court’s docket efficiently, ensuring that cases are heard in a timely manner while giving each matter the careful attention it deserves. Every person who appears before the court should feel heard and respected.
A modern Justice of the Peace court must be accessible to all citizens, regardless of their technological comfort level or personal circumstances. I am committed to implementing practical improvements that make the court more responsive and communicative while maintaining the personal touch that makes the JP court special.
This includes establishing clear communication channels, providing timely updates on case status, offering flexible scheduling options when appropriate, and ensuring that court procedures are explained in plain language.
Want some examples? I made this website myself. And this one too.
This court belongs to you, and it must be managed efficiently, fairly, and impartially.
I have the experience, skills, and the temperament to manage this court efficiently, fairly, and impartially, and I would be honored to earn your trust and your vote on November 3, 2026.
Sincerely,
JC Naquin
