Meet JC Naquin

Lifelong resident of Bourg. Father. Engineer. Independent. Your neighbor.

Where I Come From

I grew up in Bourg, Louisiana — and I've never left. Ward Five is my home. I'm a graduate of South Terrebonne High School, Class of '95. After high school, I studied Chemistry at Nicholls State and Programming at South Louisiana Tech, which set me on the path to becoming a controls engineer.

If you're old enough, you might remember Jenny's — my grandmother's store on the corner of Country Drive and Klondyke Road. I grew up in that store, riding my bike down the highway after school to work until closing — and eventually trusted to hold down the fort alone. That store is gone now, seems a hundred years ago, but the values I learned there aren't: hard work, personal responsibility, treating people right, and knowing your neighbors by name.

I'm a father of two, and raising my children here in Terrebonne Parish has only deepened my commitment to this place we call home.

What I Do

I'm employed as an Automation Specialist at Prime Controls, LP. My work involves designing and implementing SCADA systems for flood control, water and wastewater treatment, cloud infrastructure, and industrial process controls.

The systems I build protect people's homes and health — there's no margin for error. That work has taught me to listen carefully, gather the facts, and make sound decisions under pressure.
